so... since our last post,
stopped over in Tappahannock and swapped out my trailer for all new gear, front rack and larger panniers, glad to get rid of the thing after it has let us down a good handful of times. packed those on and rode upstream a ways to our worst camping site ever, the wooded median of highway 17, what a poor choice...
anywhooo, on to yesterday, we rode about 80 miles from our campsite, into outer dc area and took the metro down to where all the magic happens, (the metro is fun with a bike and a trailer...)
just as we where exiting, a guy rolled by on a nice looking bike and we mentioned that we should have asked him where to go and he rode off, well about 15 seconds later he rode back and asked us if we needed some help. turns out that person was a Mr. John Jones, a architecture masters student from scad that is interning downtown!!!! what are the chances, the guy took us all around the city, we went out to dinner, and then crashed on an air matress at his place, and while we where sleeping, he did our laundry! its like Christmas! what a nice guy!!! what are the chances?
well, off we go to explore the Smithsonian and roam around :)
